Declaration of 10th & 12th results simultaneously depends on server capacity: JKBOSE official

Declaration of 10th & 12th results: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is considering announcing the Class 10 and Class 12 annual board exam results on the same day, a move that could set a new precedent.

According to a senior JKBOSE official, the feasibility of this simultaneous release depends on the server capacity hosting the results. “With today’s technology, it’s possible, but server capacity is our main concern,” the official told Greater Kashmir.

To address potential website crashes due to high traffic, JKBOSE is exploring the option of hiring a private network to bolster server performance, ensuring students can access their results seamlessly.

The Class 12 results are anticipated on April 30 or May 1, 2025, and the board aims to release the Class 10 results concurrently, provided no technical issues arise. “If everything aligns, we plan to declare both results on the same day, either April 30 or May 1,” the official stated.

This initiative is designed to benefit students, parents, and educators by streamlining the result announcement process. To further reduce website strain, JKBOSE plans to share the result gazette on social media platforms, allowing wider access and minimizing server load.

Additionally, the board intends to stagger the announcements, releasing Class 12 results in the morning and Class 10 results in the late afternoon, with an eight-to-nine-hour gap to maintain website stability.

The official emphasized a 90% likelihood of declaring both results on April 30, 2025, with May 1 as a fallback date. The results are ready, but the final steps are being coordinated with the result computing agency, which has yet to confirm April 30 as the definitive date due to ongoing technical preparations.
